Lauren Grevel isn’t new to the community foundation. In fact, in her 6 years at the GHACF, she’s held more roles than any other team member. Starting as the Executive Administrative Assistant, she changed responsibilities as the Philanthropic Services Associate, then stepped into the Grants & Program department as Grants & Nonprofit Services Associate and most recently, Grants & Program Officer—all while earning her Masters of Public Administration focusing on Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Grand Valley State University. As of this month, Lauren is now the Education & Youth Initiatives Officer, overseeing scholarships, educations & youth initiatives, and continuing as our YAC advisor.
“When I reflect on why I chose to build a career in the nonprofit sector, I always go back to a desire to provide resources for our youngest generations and empowering the youth in our community. As a native of this community (and a past scholarship recipient), I’m excited to step into a different role at the foundation and work to ensure that the future of our youngest citizens is bright.”
Kim McLaughlin, who was the Education Initiatives Officer and Director of TCAN, is stepping away from her full-time role at the foundation but will remain a contract employee through summer 2018. Holly Cole, who joined the GHACF team as the Director of Grants & Program in June, will lead all grant-related initiatives.
Congratulations, Lauren! We’re excited to watch you flourish in this new role!
