When you fill out our scholarship application, your one application qualifies you to be considered for all of our scholarship funds. Our scholarships were established by donors in our community who cared about giving back and supporting local students. This means they are uniquely tailored to the specific needs of our area’s students. While the list below is not comprehensive, we hope it gives you an idea of the variety of types and needs they fulfill for students. For a full list of our scholarships, click here.
Runschke Family Scholarship: For those from Northwest Ottawa County who are enrolled in a vocational or trades program; minimum 3.7 GPA.
Craig Councilor and Valerie Guttowsky Scholarship: For Spring Lake or Grand Haven High School seniors with a 2.8 – 3.5 GPA, pursuing a career in an electrical-related field and going to college in Michigan.
Dake Community Manufacturing Scholarship: For those who live in Northwest Ottawa County, Muskegon County or Oceana County and are pursuing a Manufacturing education and demonstrating financial need.
Daniel L. Reiss Memorial Scholarship: For a senior at Grand Haven High School pursuing political science at GVSU or aeronautical engineering at WMU, with a demonstrated financial need.
Richard and Barbara Race Scholarship: For a senior at Grand Haven High School or Fruitport High School, or a nontraditional student under 30 years of age, pursuing Trade School and demonstrating financial need.
Maryadele Sparks Scholarship: For a senior at Spring Lake High School pursuing a career “that will contribute to the welfare and development of young children,” with a demonstrated financial need.
Waters’ Family Scholarship: For a senior at Grand Haven High School or Grand Haven Central High School, minimum 2.0 or 2.5 GPA, planning to attend Central Michigan University to pursue a career in medicine or fine arts.
