I am responsible for leading the asset development and promotional efforts of the foundation. I also oversee gift recognition, special events, marketing activities, and I’m responsible for creating new funds and delivering services to donors.
How long have you been with the GHACF?
I started in November 2016.
Why do you work at the GHACF?
I believe all people deserve opportunities to realize their full potential and that by coming together, we can positively and intentionally impact lives and communities in West Michigan.
I believe a better tomorrow is possible and our collective efforts make a positive difference and ensure a better, safer and more vibrant community for today and for future generations. I love West Michigan and enjoy working with incredibly unique, gifted, and generous people.
Education & Experience
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Hope College and was a student-athlete. Throughout my nearly 20-year professional career, I’ve gained development, marketing, management and leadership experience.
A continuous learner, I am a graduate of the 2017/18 Class of Leadership Connect and I’ve completed a number of related courses through the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and the Grand Valley State University Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy. I’m also a graduate of the United Way Worldwide Global Resident Fellows Program and completed the First 50 Program through Southwest Michigan First.
Do you have a leisure activity or hobby?
In my free time, I cherish spending time with my wife Lindsey, our daughter Mia, son Will, our extended family and friends. I also enjoy golfing, sailing, downhill skiing, traveling, great food, and photography.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I played backup acoustic guitar in a college band.
