What do you do at the GHACF?

I help turn the foundation’s mission and vision into action by overseeing day-to-day operations and key internal functions, including marketing and communications, events, human resources, and facilities management. I work closely with our CEO and team to build strong, efficient systems that support our staff, partners, and the communities we serve.

How long have you been with the GHACF?

I started working with the foundation in January 2026.

Why do you work at the GHACF?

I believe deeply in the power of community philanthropy and in creating systems that help good ideas turn into lasting impact. GHACF’s commitment to strengthening the Grand Haven area aligns closely with my passion for community-driven work and long-term change.

Education & Experience

I bring more than 16 years of experience in education, nonprofit leadership, and operations. I hold a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis on nonprofit leadership and management. Most recently, I served in senior leadership roles at Grand Valley State University, where I built and led statewide education initiatives, managed large teams and budgets, and partnered with schools, nonprofits, and community leaders across Michigan.

Do you have a leisure activity or hobby?

Hiking around West Michigan (in every season), traveling, reading, being on the water, coaching basketball, and spending time with family and friends.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I thrive on friendly competition and love tackling complex challenges – at work and at play.
