The Reinecke family has made a tradition of giving back. “Our grandmother, Frances Reinecke, gave back to the community in countless ways, but there was always one consistent theme,” said Jason Reinecke. “Frances had an enormous heart for children and families that were disadvantaged. Her compassion for others has instilled a sense of pride within our family but also the motivation to follow in her footsteps.”
The inspiration to give back to the community comes directly from family members who have demonstrated such generosity over the years. Now as grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, it is our turn to carry forward the passion for helping others.
Her compassion inspired our family to create the Frances Claire Reinecke Scholarship Fund as a way to honor her lifetime of generosity and selflessness. Our family chose to open a fund with GHACF to honor the legacy left behind by our grandmother, who committed a lifetime to her family, education, and community.
“The GHACF is a wonderful way to give back to the community. There are many options and ways to donate, whether it be a scholarship or another fund. We knew that creating the Frances Reinecke Scholarship through the GHACF would enable us to honor our grandmother’s legacy, while also allowing us to be maintenance free. The GHACF literally handles all of the tasks associated with the scholarship.” – Jason Reinecke
This scholarship will celebrate and honor the life of Frances, and the family’s goal for this scholarship is quite intentional: The funds will directly impact first-generation college going-students, and students who have overcome barriers in their life. “This focus captures the greatest trait of Frances Reinecke, as she was always finding ways to ‘level the playing field’ through her generosity,” said Jason.
He added, “Our grandmother was relentless in her compassion toward all people, including students, and she certainly had a special place in her heart for those who life hasn’t always come easy.”
