How long have you been with the GHACF?
I joined the GHACF in September 2022.
Why do you work at the GHACF?
I am excited to work with a great team and to apply my skills and talents in service to others. I also grew up in Ottawa County and am very fond of the lakes, rivers, and trails of the Grand Haven area. I am grateful for the opportunity to live and work in this community!
Education & Experience
I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership and Administration from Western Michigan University. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in European and Mediterranean Studies from New York University, where I focused on understanding the histories of marginalized populations. I have professional experience in a variety of areas including compliance, training and development, project management, and local government administration. I am also a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and I love to focus on individual and team strengths.
Do you have a leisure activity or hobby?
I describe my main hobby as picking up new hobbies. I enjoy kayaking and road biking in the summer and snowshoeing and hiking in the colder months. I also like to knit, sew, read, paint, and more.

I studied abroad in Riihimäki, Finland during high school with Rotary Youth Exchange, and I also studied Finnish in college. Kyllä, minä puhun (vähän) suomea! (Yes, I speak a little Finnish!)
