Note: The
Grand Haven Area Community Foundation serves donors and charitable
agencies for the enhancement of the Tri-Cities area of Grand
Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg in West Michigan. Our Grants
Program assists non-profit organizations in our local area
to increase and enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Guidelines prohibit us from using these funds for out of area
Agencies and individual service projects . Agencies out
of the service area should consult their local Community Foundations
for grant opportunities.

Families in Crisis Grant Initative
WHAT
ARE "FAMILIES IN CRISIS" GRANTS?
The Grand
Haven Area Community Foundation (GHACF) has developed a special
short-term "Families n Crisis" Grant Program to
assist nonprofit agencies in their efforts to build their
organization's capacity and effectiveness to better meet the
basic needs of Northern Ottawa County residents. Nonprofit
agencies that apply for and/or receive a "Families in
Crisis" Grant may also be eligible for other grant awards
through the Community Foundation's competitive grant programs
in the same year.
WHO
CAN APPLY?
Only 501
(c) (3) nonprofit organizations serving the Tri-Cities area
of Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Ferrysburg, MI may apply.
The Foundation is not able to provide grants to individuals.
The
Community Foundation WILL CONSIDER grant applications to:
- Increase
the basic services available to Tri-Cities area residents.
- Increase
the expertise and capacity of staff and volunteers to meet
new, changing, and expanded needs.
- Offer
programming that is focused on assisting individuals toward
self-sufficiency.
- Create
new collaborative efforts among organizations to increase
efficiencies and/or effectively serve more people.
The
"Families in Crisis" Grant Program generally WILL
NOT consider:
Foundation and Youth Competitive Grants

Grant Applications
can
be downloaded to your personal computer by right-clicking
on the following link(s), choose "Save Target As",
choose a location on your computer's drive to save the document,
and click "Save." Use your mouse to scroll through
the document. Use the "Tab" key to move through
the fields of the application. Be sure to save your work while
you are working on it. Prior to printing, read through the
application to be certain you have completed it. When you
are finished, make twelve copies of the completed
application to be turned into the Foundation office for the
Grants and Program Committee, prior to the deadline. If you
are applying for a Youth Grant, make thirty copies
of the completed application to be turned into the Foundation
office for the Youth Advisory Committee.

Evaluations are required from all grantees no later than one
year from the Grant date. Use the link below and follow the
