The Grand
Haven Area Community Foundation is a public foundation established
to aggregate funds created by individuals, families, corporations
and nonprofit organizations to benefit programs and services
primarily for people in northwest Ottawa County, Michigan.
All funds
are managed and closely monitored by professional investment
managers with the Foundation's Investment Committee reviewing
the investment performance of all funds on a regular basis.
Funds are pooled for investment purposes to increase their
charitable impact while providing a better investment return.
The accounting
policies of the Foundation conform to generally accepted accounting
principles as applicable to nonprofit organizations. The fiscal
year 2004 audit was performed by Plante & Moran, PLLC.
